Arthur Labossière

Peacefully at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba on Thursday, June 16, 2016, Mr. Arthur Labossière of Somerset, Manitoba passed away at the age of 79 years.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife Rachel; their children, Georgette (Larry) Franks, Dolores Cabernel (Yvon Perron), Celine (Guy) Rondeau and Lise Labossière; one daughter-in-law Leah (Leo) Toupin; 11 grandchildren, Brian, Nicole (Darren), Cory (Trisha), Kelly (Rhonda), Kristen (Paul), Joseph, Micheline (Sean), Mike, Lindsey, Nicole and Dale; and nine great-grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn four sisters, Annette Fouillen, Edith MacDougall, Lucille Pelletier and Clemence (Marcel) Pouteau; one brother Paul (Dianne) Labossière; three sisters-in-law Yolande Labossìère, Rita Grenier and Yvonne Grenier; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is predeceased by his parents, Alexis Labossière and Marianne (née Parent); one brother Raymond; sister Jeanne (Edward) Van Den Bosch; four brothers-in-law, Louis Fouillen, Ian MacDougall, Armand Grenier and Antonio Grenier; and by one son Gislain Labossière.

Prayers will be held at Adam’s Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held in the Notre Dame de la Nativité Roman Catholic Church in Somerset, MB on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 2 p.m. with Father Armand Le Gal officiating. Interment to follow at the Somerset Parish Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation.
