Peacefully at the Lorne Memorial Hospital in Swan Lake, MB on Friday, February 3, 2017, Mrs. Celine Tack of Somerset, MB passed away at the age of 89 years.

Mom of Elaine (Mike†) Oakley, Remi (Bonnie) Tack, Gerald (Madeleine) Tack, Joyce (Bruce) McKay, Glen (Kathy) Tack and Sharon (Marc) Davy and one daughter-in-law Agnes Tack. Grandma of Lisa (Kyle) Bernier, Kevin (Natalie) Tack, Cheryl (Reid) Love, Stephanie (Gabriel) Houghton, Christopher (Sara) Tack, Tifanie (Jordan) Book, Megan (Dave) Patkau, Ryan (Cora-Leigh) McKay, Nicholas (Tineesha) McKay, Jenna (Mitchell) Book, Tara (John) Painter, Caitlin Tack (fiancé Patrick Durham), Tyler Tack, Joey (Elise) Davy, Jesse Davy (Sara), Kris Davy (Brooke) and Kyle Davy. Mom was born on September 1, 1927 in Bruxelles. Moms third battle of cancer landed her in Swan Lake Hospital on Dec 20.  With her family by her side, her prayers were finally answered and God called her home on Feb 3 at the age of 89.

Mom will be welcomed into heaven by her loving mother who passed when Mom was 5 and her loving and supportive father. Also her husband of 34 years.  As well as numerous brothers and sisters.

Mom was the sixth child of 18. Mom was a farmers wife who gardened, canned, and milked many a cow with her children by her side teaching them along the way.

Mom enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She also has been known to spend many hours at her sewing machine sewing her children's clothing and later doing mending/alterations for family, friends and neighbours. Mom was very talented. Even sewing wedding and bridesmaid dresses. Mom was also a 4H leader to many in Bruxelles.

Mom and Dad lived on the home farm for 29 years until they retired to Mariapolis at the age of 51. They travelled a lot while on the farm, and more yet after they got to town.

They enjoyed Europe and bought the famous orange van, travelled coast to coast in Canada as well as all through the USA. After being widowed in 1983, Mom continued to travel with her children and siblings whenever an opportunity arose.

Mom enjoyed living in Somerset Manor since 2010 where she continued to go on excursions with the ladies.

Funeral services will be held in the Bruxelles Roman Catholic Church on Friday, February 17, 2017. Prayers and eulogy at 10:30 am followed by Funeral Mass at 11:00 am with Father Jose Montepeque officiating. Interment will take place after Mass in the Bruxelles Parish Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Somerset Manor or to the Lorne Memorial Hospital (Palliative Care).
