Gabriel Pierre François Badiou

Peacefully at the Notre Dame Foyer on Thursday, March 2, 2017, Mr. Gabriel Badiou of Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba passed away at the age of 86 years.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Hélène (née Deleurme); his children, Jacqueline (Bernard) Lesage, Raynald, Monique (Alvin) Adam, Gilbert (Monique), Diane (Randy) DeGraeve and Normand (Chantal); his grandchildren, Zacharie, Pascal, Serge (Lise), Jacinthe (Scott), Manon (Jamie), Nolan (Abby), Annik (Eric), Nico (Katrina), Jérémie, Breanne, Jolene (Darcy), Chris, Matthew, Cassandra (Brandon), Justin and Rhéanne; his great-grandchildren, Dane, Grace, Emma, Noah, Jack, Luke and Zavier; and as well as his siblings, Marie-Ange Lesage, Hubert, Fernand, Lorraine Demare, Henri (Jocelyn), Louis (Donna) and three sisters-in-law, Renée Jackson, Alice Badiou and Donna Badiou. Gabriel also leaves to mourn Hélène’s family, Albert (Édith) Deleurme, Monique Deleurme, Germaine (Guy) de Rocquigny, Irène Deleurme, Solange (Bernard) Balcaen, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents Jacques Badiou and Jeanne (née Dacquay); his brothers, Marcel, Raymond, André and Jean; and by his in-laws, Alphonse Lesage, Lucien Demare, Georgette Badiou, Carol Badiou Yvonne Badiou, Janet Badiou, George Punton, Arthur Deleurme and Lucienne (Placide) Gobin and Jean Dequier.

Family prayers will be held at Adam’s Funeral Home on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 8, 2017. Prayers and video tribute at 2 pm followed by Funeral Mass at 2:30 with Father Alain Guenou officiating. Family interment will take place after Mass in the Parish Cemetery.
