Please accept our condolences on the loss of dear Henri. I nicknamed him "Loup" because of his incredible eyes and always loved to call him that. We didn't see him often but when we did, always treasured our encounters with him. We didn't know of his passing and so missed his funeral. He will be in our hearts forever.

Condolences to the entire Pittet family. Very sorry to hear of Henri's passing. Very thankful for the visits he and I had in Winnipeg over the last decade. On one of those visits, he arrived at my office with a gift of one of his beautiful paintings. His gift hangs proudly and prominently at our cottage now and is a reminder of how Henri saw the beauty in the world around him. It was an honour to know Henri. I valued his friendship very much and he will be missed.

Henri introduced me to oil painting in 1972 at art class he ran in Somerset. I often recall his expert suggestions when I paint today.His skill in the use of the palette knife to paint conifers, rocks and vegetation inspired me to continue this lifelong activity.

The loss is truly tragic, but I must recall my aunt Renee's comment when Roger passed last year. She said" C'est la deliverance"- an end to suffering,and if not just for that, we must thank God.
