Louis Devos

With love and sadness, the family of Louis Devos announces his peaceful passing at the Notre Dame Foyer on Friday, July 22, 2016 at the age of 81 years.

Louis leaves to mourn his children, Daryl (Diane) Devos, Louan (Dan) Gladish and Derek (Sherri) Devos; his grandchildren, Brannon and Tanner Devos, Jeremy, Kiara and Cameron Gladish and Kyle, Ryan and Tamara Devos; three sisters, Mary-Jane Bogaert,

Lillian (Garry) Rummery, Agnes (John) Simoens; two brothers, Roland (Pamela) and Denis (Debra); as well as Lorette’s family, Adrienne (Marcel) De Meuleneire, Alex and Raymond Van Den Bossche; as well numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his wife Lorette in 2012; three brothers-in-law, Marcel Bogaert, Camille De Smet and Jules Van Den Bossche; and by two sisters-in-law, Rachel De Smet and Agnes Van Den Bossche.

Louis was born March 14, 1935 the oldest child of six children to Ed and Germaine Devos. He was educated in the Bruxelles area and lived the majority of his life in the farming community, which he loved and was very proud of. He married Lorette in 1958 and together they managed a dairy and grain farm along with raising their family. Louis loved sports, especially hockey and baseball. He loved playing music, playing cards and dancing.

We will never forget your sense of humour and wit.

We will truly miss you Dad but we are comforted knowing that you are reunited with Mom.

Funeral services will be held in the St. Gerard Catholic Church in Bruxelles, MB on Friday, July 29, 2016. Eulogy and Rosary at 10:30 a.m. followed by Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. with Father Jose Montepeque officiating. Interment will take place after Mass at the St. Gerard Parish Cemetery.
