She was predeceased by her first husband Jim, brother and sister in law Ken and Yvonne, brother in law David, father George and stepmother Allie Down, and mother Beatrice.

Marlene was born in the nursing home in Holland, MB in January 1945.  During her school years she attended Centerville School, Holland School and Success Business College.  With her business-oriented mind she worked at the Treherne Credit Union, first as a teller and culminating her career as manager of the branch.
