Mom was born in Haywood, Manitoba on January 28, 1919. When she was 5 years old her family moved to St. Claude, she attended St. Benoit School until grade 8. After leaving school Mom worked on her parents farm with Émile and Antoinette. She married Jean on October 30, 1940. They worked the farm together, Mom enjoyed milking cows as it was her quiet time, and she greatly missed it when they retired. When we were all at home Mom baked 15 loaves of bread twice week. After retirement Mom had time to sew many quilts, worked on large puzzles which she did fairly fast, word searches and enjoyed reading in the evenings. Gardening was something she enjoyed doing, especially pulling weeds, the weeds certainly had no chance to grow.
