Henri Jobin

Peacefully at home with his family at his side, Henri Charles Jobin of St. Claude, Manitoba passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the age of 78 years.

He leaves to mourn his beloved wife of 40 years Gisèle Oliviero, his daughter Janelle (Jordan Meredith), his son Nicolas (Leanna) Jobin, grandsons Georges and Clarence Meredith and granddaughter Emma Rose Jobin.  He also leaves to mourn his brothers Georges (Gisèle) Jobin and Ernest (Sharon) Jobin and his sister Cécile (Robert) Deurbrouck as well as his mother in law Marie-Blanche Oliviero (Raymond Gobin), Jobin and Oliviero families and Tante Marie Binne. He was loved by many cousins, nieces and nephews. 

Henri was predeceased by his parents Albert and Jeanne Jobin, brothers, Lucien, Albert (Lucette), Arthur, Armand and Maurice.  He was also predeceased by his father in law Jean Oliviero and brothers in law Gilbert Oliviero and Rudy Rudnicki.

Henri spent all his life in the St. Claude area. Family and farming were his loves. As part of a big family, Henri shared with and cared for his siblings; many baseball games were played in their backyard in town. As he got older, curling become a big part of his life with his brother Georges. He loved auction sales and his collections of antiques. Henri enjoyed family trips around Canada and the US and trips to Mexico, Cuba, and Nicaragua. He will be remembered for pig roasts and parties at the farm and at the campsite.

Funeral Services will be held in the St. Claude Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, May 2, 2019.  Rosary, eulogy and video tribute at 10:30 am followed by Funeral Mass at 11 am with Father Armand Le Gal officiating.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saint-Claude Regional Archive Box 131, St. Claude, MB R0G 1Z0.
