Obituary

Linda McKinney

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our mother, wife and sister.  Linda passed away on July 30, 2019 at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 65 years.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Thomas Walker Sr., her children, Amanda Walker (Trevor), Thomas Walker Jr. (Marlene) and Terrence Walker; her grandchildren, Alicia, Miami, Jordan, Trevor, and Nolan.  Her niece and nephew, Courtney McKinney and Patrick McKinney who she took in as her own children; Kevin Soldier, who she called her special boy and her special niece Breanne Walker; her brother, Dan McKinney and sister Donna McKinney.

The family would like to acknowledge Linda’s extended family from Long Plain First Nation; Ben Meeches, Angus Merrick, Harry Myerion Sr., Gordon Myerion, the Peters Family, Louie Walker and the Gordon family from Swan Lake First Nation.

Linda was an outgoing person with a loving heart.  She was always willing to help out those in need and liked to make others laugh by telling funny stories.  Family meant a lot to Linda and she cherished her time with her children and grand-children.  Linda’s laughter and love will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Linda was predeceased by her Grandparents, Myles Edward and Ida McKinney, Archie and Flora Myerion; her parents, William Sr. and Eliza McKinney; Brothers, Tony McKinney, Fred Martin, Freddy McKinney, William McKinney Jr., Bob McKinney, Roy McKinney, Arthur McKinney and sister, Gladys McKinney.  As well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins, too many to mention.
