Peacefully at the Foyer Notre Dame on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, Mrs. Louise Major of Rathwell, Manitoba passed away at the age of 97 years.

She leaves to cherish her memory, 100 family members;  her children, Lucille (Richard) Jenin, Elie (Joyce) Major, Renald (Darlene), Henry (Linda), Roger (Betty-Ann), Norm, Norbert (Brenda), Doris (Bert) Monchamp, Gilles and Denis (Nellie); many grand, great-grand  and great-great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband Wilfred; her parents, Xavier and Léopoldine (née Hubert) Deforel, her daughter Roselynn, her siblings Mary Philippe and Jean Deforel.

A funeral service will be held at the St. Claude Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Sandra Rex officiating.  Interment to follow at the St. Claude Parish Cemetery.  Everyone is invited to attend a memorial luncheon which will be held at the St. Claude Community Hall following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate that memorial donations may be made to the Central Plains Cancer Services, 318 Saskatchewan Avenue E., Portage la Prairie, MB  R1N 0K8.
