Minnie Cewick (née Chevrier)


 It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Minnie Cewick of the St. Claude Pavilion at the age of 87, on April 14, 2019.
 
Left to mourn are her children Linda (Denis deceased) Poirier, Gerry (Linda) Cewick, and grandchildren Stefan & Eric Poirier, Marina (Jake) & Nicolas Cewick. Also mourning her loss are her brother Roland Chevrier, sisters-in-law Joyce Chevrier, Verna Ball, and special friend Joane Lussier, as well as several nieces and nephews.
 
Minnie was predeceased by her parents, husband Joe, son–in-law Denis, brother Albert, sister-in-law Annette and by the Cewicks Frank, Agnes, Tony, France, Pauline, Rudy and Bill.
 
Minnie’s greatest love was for her family and she had special relationships with all four grandchildren that they’ll always remember. She was the best Mom ever, there was no end to her love. She was also an avid gardener, animal lover and her faith was very strong. 
 
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at the St. Claude Roman Catholic Church with Father John officiating.  Video Tribute at 10:45 a.m. followed by Mass at 11 a.m. A private family interment will take place right after the mass. 
 
Donations may be made in Minnie’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Society of Manitoba 120 Donald St, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2 or Central Plains Cancer Care 318 Saskatchewan Avenue E. Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 0K8.
