I was saddened to hear of Ray's passing today while I was trying to reconnect with him after losing touch many years ago. Ray and I met up at Abbotsford PD several years ago and vowed to get together and catch up, but we never did. Now time has stolen that opportunity and I deeply regret not reaching out. My sincere and very belated condolences, Suzie and family. You guys were good friends in our Broadview days!

It is such a shock to hear of Raymond's passing and our sincere sympathies go out to all his family. I have very fond memories of Raymond when he was an RCMP member stationed at Broadview and I noted in the video there were a couple of pictures when he was in Broadview. Raymond had a very special and hilarious way of relating his work experiences to us in the office which I always looked forward to hearing. Again, so sorry for his passing at such a young age. RIP Raymond

Susan we are so sorry to hear of Raymond. I enjoyed Raymond as a work partner and friend when we met at Broadview Det. Ray always made my entire day when we worked together and I followed his career as he moved to different postings and hoped our paths would cross once again. When we drive through St Claude on our way to Winnpeg to visit our grand Kds we always talk about you guys.

Terry and I are heartbroken at the news of Rays death. He is remembered as a joy. He had such a wonderful sense of humour and he had a very warm character. One of the fondest memories of Ray's humour is the Christmas party where he brought a skull as a gift. He thought this was hilarious. Others brought wine, candy, holiday decor, etc. I got the skull. I kept it and I had a plan. The following Christmas I wrapped the skull very carefully and beautifully and brought it to the Christmas gift exchange party. I put a note on it that said the gift was for a naughty boy. That note was enough to entice Ray to choose that gift, which caused even more laughter when he opened the gift. The skull was finally returned to its rightful owner. It is our wish that the beautiful memories such as these help you and your family get through these tough days. We are thinking of you and praying for you. XO

I have so many great memories with Ray, he was always so encouraging and genuinely invested in my life and where i was going with it, he truly made me feel special, like i was one of his own kids and for that i'll be forever grateful.
