Solange Viallet Mineault

(neé Rouire)

Solange Viallet Mineault (neé Rouire), 98, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 17, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.

Solange was born on June 12, 1919 in Bruxelles, Manitoba. In 1936, she married Henri Viallet and they farmed in Haywood until 1970 when they moved to town. Together they raised 11 children. After Henri passed away, Solange later married Pierre Mineault in 1983. In her younger days, Solange volunteered for many community and church events, always helping with local bazaars, fall suppers and picnics. She enjoyed traveling. Weekend family gatherings were very important to her, especially when they ended with games of cards or dominoes. She loved nothing more than to watch her family grow, showering them with crocheted afghans, car blankets, crib and baby blankets.

Solange will be lovingly remembered by her children, Thérèse (Auguste) Debusschère, Cécile (Léon*) Duval, Louis (Suzanne) Viallet, Germaine Viallet, Daniel (Gisèle*) Viallet, Michel (Lorraine) Viallet, Joseph* (Annette) Viallet, Robert (Gigi*) Viallet, Rose (Don*) Chapman, Hubert (Lilianne) Viallet, Nicole (Gerald Poirier) Viallet; 22 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. She also leaves two sisters, Thérèse Richard and Annette Robidoux, one brother Lucien (Alexine) Rouire, and one sister-in-law Sister Rose-Marie Viallet, many nieces, nephews, and friends. Solange was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Rosa (née Mangin) Rouire ,her husband Henri Viallet in 1972, Pierre Mineault in 2001, her son Joseph, daughters-in-law Gisèle and Gigi, sons-in-laws Léon and Don, great grandchildren Nathanael and Talia, sisters Angèle, Agnès and Lucie, and brothers André and Adrien.
