It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Vernon Henderson of Rathwell, MB, on May 4, 2018, at the Notre Dame Hospital at the age of 85 years. 
 
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Eva (née Gosseye); his children, Wayne (Annette), Dale, Diane (Jim), Irene (Eddie), Rodney (Lorry) and his son-in-law, Hubert Monchamp; his grandchildren, Chris (Jenn), Cheryl, Craig (Danielle), Darrell (Monica), Ryan, Corey (Bre), Devon (Charlene), Trevor (Diane), Brendon (Amy), Nicole (Zac), Dylan, Breann; his great-grandchildren, Riley, Taylor, Riley, Avery, Liam, Mason, Alexandria, Tyler, Cameron, Danika, Kacy, Carson, Nova and Bentley. He also leaves to mourn, in-laws, Lorraine Henderson, Yvonne Gaultier, René (Alice) Gosseye and Marcel Gosseye, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
 
He is predeceased by his children Florence Monchamp and Joseph Henderson; his parents, Thomas Henderson and Claire (née Spencer); his siblings, Jim Henderson, Alfred (Una) Henderson and Emma (Earl) Billings; his parents-in-law Amedé and Marie Gosseye; his in-laws Rhéa (Omer) Poirier, Fern Gosseye and Eugene Gaultier.

Funeral Service will held at the Rathwell Community Hall on Monday, May 14, 2018 at 2 p.m. with Heather Grobb officiating, followed by a funeral luncheon.  Private family interment will take place prior to the service at the Woodlands Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Green Prairie Lodge or to the Notre Dame Health Foundation.
