Daniel Viallet

Peacefully at his residence in Haywood, MB, Daniel Viallet passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022 at the age of 78 years.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Pauline Viallet (Paul Gobin) and Norm (Dena) Viallet; his grandchildren, Janelle, Jared, Jack and Louis; his special friend Jean Le Roux and her family. He also leaves to mourn his siblings and in-laws, Thérèse Debusschère, Cécile Duval, Suzanne Viallet, Germaine Viallet, Michel (Lorraine) Viallet, Annette Viallet, Robert Viallet, Hubert (Lilliane) Viallet, Nicole Viallet (Gerald Poirier), Sr. Florence Vuignier, Georgette (Laurent) Bosc, Jeannette Vuignier, Guy Vuignier (Scotti Stephen), Leo Vuignier (Elvine Graham) and Lorraine (William) Sawatzky; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Daniel was predeceased by his wife Gisèle Viallet (née Vuignier); his parents, Henri Viallet and Solange (Pierre) Mineault; his brothers, Louis Viallet and Joseph Viallet; his sister Rose (Don) Chapman and his in-laws Auguste Debusschère, Leon Duval, Gigi Viallet, Lionel Vuignier and Clémence Vuignier.

Daniel was born in St. Boniface on December 25th, 1943. He was Solange and Henri Viallet’s fifth child of eleven children. Daniel lived and worked on the farm for most of his life.  He married Gisèle Vuignier in 1970 and had two children; Pauline and Norman.  After the sudden death of Gisèle in 1994, Daniel transitioned from dairy to beef and grain farming.

He always enjoyed sports, gardening and getting together for meals with family. Daniel was fortunate to have met Jean and experienced many treasured memories with her. Daniel’s ultimate pride and joy were his precious grandchildren.  We will miss his smile and his big heart forever.

A Private Family service will be held at Adam’s Funeral Home followed by interment in the Haywood Parish Cemetery.

Memorial donations can be made to a charity of choice.
