George Verdonck
Peacefully on Friday, July 11, 2008 at the age of 85 years, George Verdonck passed away at the Lorne Memorial Hospital in Swan Lake, Manitoba surrounded by his family.
He leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife Isabel (nee Vermiere); one son, Don (Pamela) Verdonck; three daughters: Joanne (Darrell) Friesen, Cheryl (Mitch) Routhier and Gale (Denis) Gaucher; nine grandchildren: Christine, Mike, Adam (fiancée Heidi), Kelli, Marc, Daniel, Rebecca, Nicky and Tyler. He also leaves to mourn one brother Marcel (Alma) Verdonck; one sister Angele (Henri) Labossiere; three sisters-in-law Anita Verdonck; Clara DeJaegher and Lorraine (Roland) Charboneau; two brothers-in-law Marcel (Rachel) Vermiere and Leo Hutlet; and numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by one brother Roger Verdonck; one brother-in-law Aime DeJaegher; and by one sister-in-law Julia Hutlet.
Prayer Services will be held in the St. Martin of Tours Roman Catholic Church in Swan Lake, MB on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at 2 p.m. followed by interment in the Parish Cemetery with Father Gabriel Levesque and Father John Te Nguyen officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Swan Lake Palliative Care Unit - cheques payable to Swan Lake Health Foundation, Box 40, Swan Lake, MB R0G 2S0.
