It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our father, grandfather and great-grandfather Julien Philippot, on April 25, 2008 at Notre Dame de Lourdes Hospital, at 89 years of age.
Julien is survived by his children, 3 sons Andre (Tina), Rene (Lorraine), Albert (Anita) and 1 daughter Annette (Jim). Eleven grandchildren Marc (Kristie), Gerald (Amanda), Nadine (Rhys), Colin (fiancée Kim), Eric, Michael, Kevin, Lisa, Tyler, Chris (Kay), Vicki (Kent) and 2 Great-grandchildren Aiden & Charlize. Three step-grandchildren David (Tammy), Karen (John), JoEllen (Adam); 5 step-great-grandchildren Darien, Dae-Lynn, Gavin, Abby & Luca. Three brothers, Joseph (Yvonne), Henri (Cecile), Raymond (Laurette), 3 sisters Natalie, Adrienne (Jose), Louise (Aime); 3 sisters-in-laws Josette, Lucienne & Julienne
He was predeceased by his wife Claire (1995); his parents Alexis and Marie, his father and mother-in-law Jean & Leontine, 2 brothers Charles and Alexis, 2 sisters Angele and Isabelle; 4 brothers-in-law Andre, Arthur, Julien & Louis and 2 sisters-in-law Mariette & Marie.
Julien was born December 12, 1918 in St. Claude, Mb. On October 17, 1951 he married Claire Fouasse and together they settled on the farm southeast of town where they raised their children. They farmed until moving to town in 1995. Farming and family was his life and he enjoyed going back to the farm as often as he could. He was a simple man who led a simple life. His interests were gardening, reading and most of all playing cards with who ever came along.
Funeral Service will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 1:00 pm at the St. Claude Roman Catholic Church, with Father Celestin Malengu Mubaya officiating. Interments to follow at the St. Claude Cemetery.
