Raymond (Peanut) Labossiere
After a courageous battle with cancer, it is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Raymond T. Labossiere on Wednesday March 3, 2004 at the Lorne Memorial Hospital, at the age of 64 years.
He was predeceased by his parents Alexis and Marie Anne Labossiere.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and caring wife Yolande, one daughter Giselle (Clint), stepdaughter Sandra (Rick), stepson Ron (Tina), 2 granddaughters and 4 grandsons. He also leaves to mourn 2 brothers: Arthur (Rachel) and Paul (Dianne); 5 sisters: Jeanne, Annette (Louis, deceased), Edith (Ian, deceased), Lucille, Mickey (Marcel); special friend Marcel (Judy) Berard as well as many family and friends.
He worked most of his life for Lafarge in Winnipeg, until his retirement in July of 1999. Then he and his wife Yolande moved to Somerset, where they spent many good times with family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
The family would like to thank Dr. Desmond and staff at the Lorne Memorial Hospital, in Swan Lake, Manitoba and Dr. Menzies and staff and the Boundary Health Centre for their care and support.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Our Lady of Nativity Roman Catholic Church, in Somerset, Manitoba, on Saturday March 6, 2004 at 11 a.m., with Father Celestin Malengu Mubaya officiating. Interment at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, friends may make donations to the Swan Lake Palliative Care Unit, Box 40, Swan Lake, MB R0G 2S0.
