The family is sad to announce the sudden passing of Adrian Anthony Acoby who died shortly after his 25th birthday.
Adrian was predeceased by his grandparents, Okema and Joan Acoby; uncles, Henry and Wayne Acoby; cousins, Terry Acoby, Deanna Hobson, Colleen Mac Donald; and nephew Seth Bushie-Acoby.
Adrian leaves to mourn his mother Francis Acoby, father John Bertrand; siblings, Jason, John(JR), Jonathan, Stephanie, Stacey and Clifford; special brothers, Ninoondawah and Justin Richard; along with nieces, nephews, numerous relatives and friends.
At this time the family would like to thank Chief and Council, Community Members; and The Winnipeg Police Service Homicide Unit; and the Health Sciences Centre for their kindness, support and generosity during this difficult time. The family would also like to say a special Thanks to Chickadee Richard and Pastor Greg Armstrong who helped Adrian in times of need. Adrian will be forever loved and deeply missed.
A Traditional Wake Service will be held on Monday, May 5, 2014 at 4 p.m. at the Swan Lake First Nation Community Hall in Swan Lake, Manitoba.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Swan Lake First Nation Community Hall in Swan Lake, Manitoba.
