Peacefully at the Notre Dame Foyer on Sunday, October 23, 2011, Mrs. Agnes Tardiff of Mariapolis, Manitoba passed away at the age of 97 years.
Agnes was predeceased by her husband Raymond Tardiff in 1983.
Mom will be lovingly missed by her 4 children: Fleurette (Paul deceased) Labossière, Jeanne (Martial) Boulet, Albert (Ann) Tardiff and Elsie (René) Hacault; 17 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren as well as numerous friends and extended family.
Agnes was born to Théodore and Clorinda (Malo) Morin, in Mariapolis, MB where she grew up with her two brothers Alexandre and Marcel and three sisters Celende, Germaine and Lydia. She married Raymond Tardiff on November 29, 1933 and together they raised four children. She spent most of her life in Mariapolis devoting her life to her family and also to her community through her volunteering. She later lived a few years in Somerset before moving to the Foyer Notre-Dame in August 2008. Agnes had several friends and she much enjoyed social activities of all sorts such as bingo, cards, parties, dancing, trips, community outings and volunteer work. She also enjoyed music as well as several domestic activities including gardening, baking, cooking, quilting, sewing and knitting/crochet. She nourished a steady spiritual life
Prayers will be held at Adam’s Funeral Home on Friday, October 28, 2011 at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Our Lady of Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Mariapolis, MB on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery with Father Francis Eworo officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
