Peacefully on Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at the Lorne Memorial Hospital, Aimé Guilbert, resident of Somerset Manor and formerly of Mariapolis, Manitoba, passed away at the age of 99 years.
He is survived by one sister-in-law, Eliza Guilbert (née Desrochers) and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Aimé was predeceased by his parents Ulric and Délina (née Lussier), as well as all 14 of his siblings; Arthur, Albert (Léona Desrochers), Clara, André, Joseph, Germain (Germaine Major), Bert (Alex Foley), George (Edna Lussier), André (Charlotte Capon), Gérard (Eliza Desrochers), René, Hubert (Anna Cloutier), Annette (Armand Rheault) and Antoine.
The family wishes to thank the homecare workers in Mariapolis and Somerset, as well as all Somerset Manor employees for their excellent care in recent years.
Funeral mass will be held at Mariapolis Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 11:30 a.m with Father John Nguyen and Father Gabriel Levesque officiating. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6.
