Antoinette Grower

d. December 2, 2005

Antoinette Grower
(nee Mineault)

Passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, December 2nd, 2005 at the St. Claude Pavilion.  Tonie was predeceased by her husband Walter, a brother Peter, and sister Mary. Tonie will be lovingly remembered by her children Claudette (Paul), Ken (Marjorie), Pat (Gil) and grandchildren Shannon, Heather; Paul, Joanne, Ainsley; Laura (Grandin) & Kim (Maurice), great grandson Conner and many nieces & nephews.

Tonie was born on November 26, 1919 in Deerhorn, MB. and spent most of her adult life in the Haywood & St. Claude area.  Tonie lived a full and active life raising and caring for her family, always considering her children's needs before hers.  Her fondest memories were farming and nurturing sick animals.  She was a firm believer in hard work and passed this ethic along to her family.  Tonie's green thumb and love of gardening led to an abundant vegetable harvest which she shared with others. Her favourite past-times included bingo, casino trips and bus tours throughout Canada and the U.S.  For the past 3 years, Tonie had been a resident of the St. Claude Pavilion and suffered from declining health.  The family wishes to express their special thanks to her care-givers for their love and compassion.

Cremation has taken place. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 8th, 2005 at 3:00 pm in the St. Claude Roman Catholic Church.  Lunch to follow at the Rec Center.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either:  St. Claude Pavilion or The Heart & Stroke Foundation.

God saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb
So he closed your weary eyelids

And whispered "peace be thine".

Arrangements entrusted to Adam's Funeral Home of Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba.  Phone 248-2201 or 1-888-400-2326.
