Armand Vielfaure
On Sunday, November 27, 2005, following a brief but courageous battle with cancer, it is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Armand, husband, father and grandfather, at the Riverview Centre, at the age of 73 years.
Left to cherish his memory are: his wife of 50 years, Juliette (Augert); sons: Michel, Robert, Denis (Lori) and Marc; grandson: Paul, granddaughters: Krystal, Corrine, Cristine; sisters: Cleophé Budd, Irène Landreville, Lorraine Penner (Jake); brother, Alec (Thérèse); brothers-in-law: Guy Augert (Isabelle), Denis Augert (Elsie), Réal Augert (Natalie); sister-in-law, Lyette Augert; many nieces, nephews and longtime friends.
Armand was predeceased by his parents: Gaston and Rose; brother: Louis, sisters: Zita (Marcellin Pierson), Valérie (Léo Borris), Dora (Andrew Schile), parents-in-law: Albert and Suzanne Augert, brothers-in-law: Bernard Budd and Marcel Augert and sister-in-law, Annette Augert.
Armand was born in Somerset, MB, on April 15,1932. In 1949, Armand joined the Manitoba Telephone System where he became known to his co-workers as Pete Vielfaure. After 40 years of service, he retired in 1989. In 1955, he married Juliette Augert and on September 17, 2005, they celebrated their 50 th wedding anniversary. Dad's life was centered around his family. Armand was a loving and devoted husband, a wonderful father and grandfather. He was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand. We will miss him very much.
The family wishes to thank the staff on 3-E at the Riverview Centre for the precious care given to Armand.
Divine mass celebrating Armand's life will be held on Friday, December 2, at the Précieux Sang Catholic Church, 200 Kenny St. at 2 p.m. Viewing at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery. Father Maurice Jeanneau and Father Louis Vielfaure will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, should you so desire, donations may be made in his memory to the St-Boniface Hospital and Research Foundation "Cancer Research Fund", 409 Taché Ave. Room D 1003, Winnipeg, MB, R2H 9Z9.
