Beatrice Mousseau

(nee Soldier)

January 10, 1936-November 9, 2011

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mom, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister, aunt and wife.

She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband of 49 years, Alfred, sons: Larry Soldier (Betty Ann), Lloyd (Candace) and Brian Mousseau; grandsons: Tony, Todd, Nicholas, Brett, Jason Soldier and her only granddaughter, Stacey Soldier.  She also leaves to mourn her sister Hazel, sister in law Louise Soldier, brothers: Vernon, Fred (Audrey), James (Gloria), Lawrence, Ron (Marina) and Ed, along with numerous nieces and nephews and foster children: Ashley and Leeann Tait.

Beatrice was predeceased by her parents Harry and Mary Louise Soldier, sister Mary, brother Robert, in-laws Gilbert and Elizabeth Mousseau, brothers in law Harry and Wilfred Mousseau and Alex Anderson, sister in law Gladys McKinney and nephew Ernie Anderson.

Beatrice was born in Swan Lake and lived there all her life.  She enjoyed making blankets, moccasins and playing bingo.  She worked various jobs including welding, painting and working for a potato farmer.  Besides being a mother and grandmother to her own, who she was especially proud of for all their accomplishments, Beatrice was also a very loved and devoted foster mother.  She had a big heart and was always there for anyone to offer much care and compassion.

A Traditional Wake will be held at the Swan Lake First Nation Hall on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 4 p.m.. Funeral Services will be held at the Swan Lake First Nation Hall on Sunday, November 13, 2011 at 1:00 pm with interment to follow at the Indian Springs Cemetery.

We did not know that day what sorrow and grief would bring,

to part with one so dear.

You were gone before we knew it and only the creator knows why.

Today, tomorrow, our whole lives we will always love

and cherish memories of you.

We will hold you close within our hearts

and there you will always remain.
