Peacefully at the Lorne Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 Mr. Benoit Hacault of Mariapolis, Manitoba passed away at the age of 87 years.
He leaves to mourn his beloved children: Marcel (Georgina), Antoine (Linda), Lucille Boettger, Alice (Alain) Fontaine, Stella (James) Gaerke, François (Wendy), Dianne (Eric) Periard and Ludger (Leslie) and son in law Don Reid; Grandchildren: Anaïs, Anastasie (Phil), Yves (Daphne), Christianne (Chuck), Robert, Mathieu (Geneviève), Breanne, Brixton, Eric, Lisanne (Jon), Alex, Nadia, Sébastien, Mélanie, Alyssa, Mathew, Alexandre, Derek, Alexa, Oscar, Olivier, Benoit, Monica, Rachel, Nathan, Thomas, Sandra, Nicholas, Samuel, Elizabeth, Marcus, Julia and Evelyn; Great Grandchildren: Katia, Zachary, Jonathon and Danté; Brothers and sisters: Louise (Achille) De Spiegelaere, Julie Foidart, Céline Tack, Armand (Yvette), Mathilde (Jean) Fifi, Jeanne Fiola, Germaine, Lucien (Simonne), Gaston (Heather), Émile (Sylvie), in-laws: Michael Solodiuk, Lucile Hacault, Albert (Dorothée) Gagnon and Edouard Lessard as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Benoit was predeceased by his wife Monica (née Gagnon) in 1995, his daughter Jeannine Reid in 1999 and brothers and sisters: Hubert (Marie), Anna (Simon) Foidart, Mgr. Antoine, Jean (Odile), Michel (Patsy), Roland, Dorothée Solodiuk and Jean Hacault; in laws: Jerome Suchard, Adolphe Foidart, Maurice Tack, Louis Fiola, Eugene (Germaine) Gagnon, André (Irene) Gagnon and Stella Lessard.
Benoit était un époux, père et grand-père attentionné, dévoué, et tendre. Sa bonté, générosité et humilité impregnaient ses multiples actes de service a sa famille, sa paroisse et sa communauté. Son intégrité et sa simplicité de vie étaient reflétées dans son amour pour la terre, la chasse, et l'humanité. Sa grande foi et droiture d'âme l'ont guidé tout au long de sa vie.

Benoit was a kind, generous, devoted man who constantly supported and encouraged those he loved. Guided by his strong faith and moral compass, he was always in service to others. Benoit enjoyed the simple things in life, like hunting, working the land, and being with people.

Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Our Lady of Assumption Roman Catholic Church, in Mariapolis, MB on Saturday, March 12, 2016. Time of Reflection at 1:30 p.m. followed by Mass at 2 p.m. Family Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery with Father John Te Nuyguen officiating.
