Mom was born on October 10, 1928 in Makinak, MB. She married Fernand Bérard on June 25, 1949. Mom and Dad made their home south of St. Pierre where they raised their children.
Mom loved the sun and summer months. She treasured the outdoors be it fishing, quading or just sitting around a campfire with family and friends. In the winter, Florida was a favourite destination. Also during the winter months, you could always find Mom in front of the TV watching a curling game. Mom cherished her children, grandchildren and her great grandchild. Family gatherings were very important to her and she did everything to make everyone feel comfortable and welcome. Her smile was inviting and her heart was open to everyone she met. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.
À ma famille, je vous aimais et je ne suis pas loin de vous.
With respect for her wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the St. Pierre Roman Catholic Church on Friday, March 19, 2010 at 2 p.m. with Father Antoine Vovanhoa officiating. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery.
