Peacefully at the Lorne Memorial Hospital in Swan Lake, Manitoba on Friday, April 24, 2009, Mrs. Bertha Walker of Swan Lake First Nation passed away at the age of 84 years.
Bertha leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish her memory, her daughters Grace and Shirley (Garry) and son Joseph, her brother Simon, sisters Mary and Gladys. Also her numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Bertha was predeceased by her husband Joseph Charles Walker, her sons; Lawrence, Raymond, Fredrick, William and Ronald, her daughters; Rena and Gladys, her sister Alice and brother Archie and also by three great grandchildren; Maximus Tron Star, Autumn Rain Star and Christopher Nelson.
A Traditional Wake will be held at the Swan Lake First Nation Community Hall on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at 4 p.m. A Traditional Funeral Services will follow on Friday, May 1, 2009 at 2:00 pm. Interment in the Indian Springs Cemetery.
