Sadly on July 9, 2016, Blair Martin of Swan Lake First Nation left on his journey to the spirit world at the age of 22 years.

Blair will be missed and lovingly remembered by his Father Ivan and his Mother Virginia; Brothers, Bruce (Amanda McK.), Robert (Amanda A.) and Jake; his Sisters, Valerie (Harry), Suzanne (Nate), Tiffany (Matthew), Priscilla (Trevor), Jamie (Nick) and Veronica; Nephews, Hayden, Mikey, Bruce, Isaiah, Vincent, Lucas, Eli, Roger, Aven and Xavier; Niece Michal and his Special |Friend Anyssa Wood; his Koko Emma Martin and special Grandfather, Donald Cameron; also numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and a very large loving extended family.

Blair was predeceased by his Sister, Shannon; Grandfathers, Joe Martin and Tony Cameron; Grandma, Alexandra Cameron; Uncles, Jerome, Ralph, Arthur and Melvin Sr.; Cousins, Lesley, Kara, Nathan, Randy, Angel and Little Joe.

Blair was born at the Swan Lake Hospital on New Years Day, January 1st, 1994. Blair Martin was a very special son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He was born to Ivan and Virginia Martin and brother to 10 siblings. He enjoyed many years of hockey and played for Pilot Mound and the Swan Lake Cougars. He loved to work out, mostly with Nathan Sutherland and Patrick McKinney. He was a hard worker and loved to ride horses. He always had a sense of humour. He loved his family dinners and enjoyed food. Blair loved all 10 of his nephews and his only niece. He had plans for them, especially hockey. Blair graduated high school in 2013, and later moved onto many different jobs, receiving his security training in June of 2016.

Traditional Wake will be held at the Swan Lake First Nation Hall on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 4:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held at the Swan Lake First Nation Hall on Sunday, July 17, 2016 commencing with the feast at 12:00 pm. Interment to follow at the Martin Residence, House 149.

Pallbearers are Errol Cameron, Brent Cameron, Justin McKinney, Adrian Delorme, Nate Sutherland and Jeff Martin.

Honorary Pallbearers are Lionel Cameron, Braden Wilson, Nick Sutherland, Patrick McKinney, Dave Scott, Jackson Nepinak, Cody McKinney, Trevor McKinney, Eric Cameron and all the staff members from the Four Corners Service.
