Blanche Jacques-Burnett (née Vaillant)
Peacefully at the St. Claude Pavilion on Friday, May, 29, 2020, Mrs. Blanche Jacques of St. Claude, Manitoba passed away at the age of 89 years.
She leaves to mourn, her beloved husband Ronald Burnett; four children, Lorraine (Mike) Viallet, Norbert Jacques, Yvette (Andre) Dupasquier and Roland (Lynne) Jacques; six grandchildren, Richard (Dianna), Christine (Curt), Joey (Melanie), Tanya (Darren), Brian and Joanne (Reynald); 12 great-grandchildren, Rachel, Noah, Rylan, Kaili, Brooke, Danica, Colby, Austin, Alexie, Angelique, Jacob and Ashlyn; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She also leaves to mourn Ronald’s family, his two daughters, Janice (Ernie) Chomic and Dianne Otti; his three grandchildren, Jamie, Dawn and Steven; and his one brother Thomas Burnett.
She was predeceased by her first husband Eugene Jacques in 1991; her daughter-in-law Marilyne Jacques; her parents, Jean-Baptiste Vaillant and Marie (née Pinier); and by her siblings, Adèle Balez (James Desaulniers, Etienne Balez), Alphonse (Adèle) Vaillant, Rose (Thomas) Andruchuk and Elie Vaillant.
Mom loved having her family over for meals and was known for her world famous “galettes with sucre à la crème”. Mom had many hobbies, she loved fishing, travelling, camping, dancing and playing cards. The casinos held a special attraction also. She loved parties, laughing and jokes. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
A private family service will be held at Adam’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at 1 p.m. followed by interment in the St. Claude Parish Cemetery. The funeral service will be webcast for family and friends to view.
