Peacefully at Action Marguerite St. Boniface on Monday, December 25, 2017, Mrs. Caroline Deforel of Winnipeg, Manitoba passed away at the age of 93 years.
She is survived by her children, Maurice (Paulette), Jeanne (Gary) Grieve, Liliane (Robert) Cushon, Réal (Catherine), Alain (Glenda), Gilbert (Liz), Gisèle Nilsson and Odile (Rhéal) Dubois; her grandchildren, Caroline (Allan), Jason (Krysta), Allan (Kristy), Douglas (Raven), Brenda (Jeff), Marie (Karl), Denise (Dion), Kimberley (Rick), Ginette, Shawn, Jolene (Trevor), Katelyn, Elizabeth (Matthew), Sarah (Muluken), James (Lucy), Kelly (Stacey), Michelle, Arlene (Steve), Nils (Maxine), Denis (Julie), Nicole (Jean), André (Rachael) and Chantal (Drew) and her 44 great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her sister Agnes Rose and her sister-in-law Louise Major.
Caroline is predeceased by her husband Jean, her parents Alex and Caroline (née Ducharme) Lapointe and her son-in-law Bert Nilsson.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the St. Boniface Cathedral, 190 Cathedral Avenue, Winnipeg, MB on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 10:30 am with Father Marcel Carrière officiating. Interment will take place at the St. Claude Parish Cemetery in St. Claude, Manitoba at 3:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
