Peacefully with his family by his side at the Lorne Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, September 11, 2013, Cecil Cameron of Swan Lake, MB passed on to the Spirit World at the age of 67 years. Cecil in his last days put up a fight. He is no longer suffering and he is with the Creator.
Cecil was a brother, uncle, nephew and friend, to those he knew he always followed the tradition and culture of the Ojibway ways.
He leaves to mourn his passing his sisters Emma Martin and Alice Cameron; his adopted brothers Wayne Scott and Dave Scott; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Cecil was predeceased by his parents Mary and Frank Cameron; sister Gertie Cameron; brother-in-law Joe Martin; grandparents John and Mary Jane Cameron and Louis and Sophia Esquash.
A Traditional Wake will be held at Cecil’s residence, house #90, Swan Lake First Nation on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. with Funeral Services on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. Interment to follow in the Indian Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Garry Meeches, Warren Cameron, Robert Thomas Daniels, Steven Scott, Trevor Peters and Melvin Martin Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be all the family and friends.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Lorne Memorial Hospital for all the care and compassion shown to Cecil and his family.
