She was a sister-in-law to Paul (Muriel), Berthe+ (Leon+), Dorothee+ (Earl+), Reine+, Reginald (Rita), Yves+ (Anita), Anita (Rene+), Fr. Denis+, Norman+, Edgar+, Stella (Roger+).

Claire was born in Benson, Saskatchewan, then moved to Ste. Rose, Grande Prairie, Pine Falls, Winnipeg, St. Eustache, Fortier, and finally Elie where she met her soul mate Aime. They married on July 2, 1946 and spent the next 66 years in Elie lovingly raising their family and settling on the different boards of the parish, schools, community and Sunshine Club.

Her love of food and cooking led her to a 20 year catering career. Most of all she loved a good party and she enjoyed planning different events including birthdays, fall suppers, Christmas dinners, weddings and family get togethers or funeral lunches.

She loved knitting. We will all treasure our hand knit, warm, cozy afghans for many years to come. She made and delivered many trunk loads of baby blankets and layettes for her “babies”.

Christmas was always a very special time of the year for her so it is very fitting that she grew her angel wings in time to be in heaven for Christmas. May God care for you as you cared for us.

An evening of remembrance and prayers will be held in the Blessed Sacrament Church in Elie, MB on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 7:30pm. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 22,  at 11:00am. Interment to follow.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the Sturgeon Creek II staff,  Dr. Borrett, Dr. Macek and the staff of 3 South  at the Grace Hospital medical ward for their very special care in the last 7 weeks.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mom's memory can be made to Life's Vision (League for Life) 388 Portage Ave, Winnipeg, MB  R3C 0C8.

Your presence we'll miss,
Your memory we’ll treasure
Loving you always, forgetting you never.
