"Wandering Woman"
On Monday, April 25, 2016, Mrs. Daisy Hobson of Swan Lake First Nation passed away at the Lorne Memorial Hospital in Swan Lake, MB at the age of 73 years.
Daisy leaves to mourn her passing, her children: Selma, Marcie, Collette and Maurice; her sisters: Louisa, Grace and Mary Jane; her brothers: Albert, Jerry and Norman (Brian) Gray; as well as her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Fred Krevel, her children: Carol, Barry, Thelma and Mark; her mother Florence and father Allan Hobson; brothers: Richard, James and Georgie and her sister Ethel.
Daisy was a kind person who helped many people. She practiced her traditional ways and enjoyed sewing, playing bingo and taking care of her house. She was able to work for Home Care until she was 70 years old.
A Traditional Wake will be held at the Swan Lake First Nation Hall on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 4 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the Swan Lake First Nation Hall on Saturday, April 30, 2016 commencing with the feast at 12 noon. Interment to follow at the Indian Springs Cemetery.
