Denis Allec

Denis René Allec, age 68, passed away on May 27, 2019.  He was born December 1st, 1950 to Joseph and Marie.

Denis was a genuine and a hard working man known by many to be able to fix anything; he surprised everyone with his recent retirement.  With his passing he leaves behind many projects that he looked forward to finishing, many places not visited and treasures left undiscovered.  Denis was fortunate to spend his last week with his large family and friends, his unwavering sense of humour was always present.

He is survived by his spouse, Joyce Jongbloed, his children, Christine (Guy) Sibilleau, Patrick Allec and Lisa Findlay (Mike Porter); grandchildren: Matthieu, Danielle, Chantale, Nicholas, Erica, Jeremy, Daniel, Tyler and great grandson, Vincent.  Also left to mourn are his brothers and sisters: Claudette (Larry) Cormier, Lucille Allec, Robert (Julia) Allec, Louis (Daphne) Allec, Edith Allec, Roger (Eliette) Allec, Jean Allec, Léo (Gaylene) Allec, Suzanne (Roméo) Marchand, Ginette Thiessen and Raymond (Allyson) Allec and Joyce’s family: Hendrik Jongbloed (Bruce Collins), Anna (Gerald) Rouire, Jeannette, Mariah, Mikayla, Julianna Rouire and Pieter Jongbloed (Victor Hooper) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Denis was predeceased by his sister in law Theresa Allec, brother in law Terry Thiessen and his nephew Jerry Cormier.

A Memorial Service will be held in the St. Claude Catholic Church on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 2 p.m. with Sandra Rex officiating.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff and doctors at the Portage District General Hospital for the care and compassion shown to them and Denis.
