Dennis Cabernel

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Dennis Cabernel at the age of 67 years on May 19, 2026 at the Boundary Trails Health Centre.

Dennis will be greatly missed by his wife Danielle, daughters Tricia (Brad) Wall and Jillian (Nathan Horvath) Cabernel, grandsons Logan, Austin and Myles Wall, siblings, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Dennis grew up on a farm near Bruxelles. His days were full, doing chores, hunting in the nearby marsh, playing hockey in town, riding dirt bikes and snowmobiles.

He spent his life working in agriculture. Even when he wasn’t involved in seeding or harvest he enjoyed driving around to see where everyone was at.

Dennis loved riding motorcycles, and made many trips to the States and BC with many friends. In the last two years he travelled to attend three NASCAR races in Kansas City, something he had always wanted to do.

One of his greatest joys was spending time with his adored grandsons. This included sharing his superb mechanical skills and knowledge with them in the fully equipped shop he had proudly built.

A Celebration of Life will be held in late June at the Miami Event Centre.

A huge thank you to the BTHC staff for the excellent and compassionate care Dennis received during the last three months.
