Denny Wayne Hobson
With great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of our son, brother, uncle and father. Denny Wayne Hobson was born on November 6, 1980 and passed away at Swan Lake First Nation on January 24, 2022 at the age of 41 years.
Denny leaves behind two beautiful children, son Troy Simmons and daughter Ravenna Esquash; he is survived by his mother Brenda Hobson; his best friend and step-father Dan McKinney; his biological father Lesley Acoby; his sisters, Wanda McKinney-Cameron (Farrell) and Pamela McKinney; his brothers, Cody Hobson, Dustin Hobson, Jeff Martin, Edgar McKinney and Brody “Mike” Saunders; his nieces, Taylor-Anne Hobson, Sienna Hobson, Savannah Hobson and Caitlin Kennedy (Darian); his nephews, Preston Hobson and Gage McKinney; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He is predeceased by his grandparents, Harry Hobson Sr. and Irene Hobson, Okema and Joan Acoby; uncles, Ricki Hobson and Melvin Hobson; and his sister and best friend Deanna Hobson.
Memories of you will be cherished forever, rest easy and fly high Denny.
A Traditional wake will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 in the Swan Lake First Nation Cultural Centre at 4 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022, with the feast commencing at 12 p.m. Due to Covid regulations, proof of vaccination will be required.
