Donald Roy McKinney

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donald McKinney Sr. on July 2, 2026 in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 58 years.

He will be forever loved by his wife Lisa McKinney; his children, Daphne, Dallas, Shane and Bradly; and their mother Mavis Myerion; his many grandchildren; and Lisa’s children, Crystal, Brittany, Rebecca, Alex and Simone. He also leaves to mourn his brothers, Ryan McKinney and Sean (Rachal) McKinney; his sisters, Angie (Brian) Walker, Joanne McKinney (Norman) and Francine Meeches; his aunt Donna McKinney, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends

Don was predeceased by his sons, Donald McKinney Jr. and Dale Myerion, his parents Roy and Joyce McKinney, his grandparents Eliza and William McKinney, his twin brother Ron McKinney, David Myerion and Paul Cameron, and his sister Heather McKinney.

Traditional Wake will be held at the Swan Lake First Nation Hall on Friday, July 10, 2026 at 4:00 p.m.. Traditional Funeral Service will be held at the Swan Lake First Nation Hall on Saturday, July 11, 2026 with the feast commencing at 12:00 p.m.
