Donny Marginet

Peacefully on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, Mr. Donny Marginet of Bruxelles, MB passed away at the age of 63 years.

He leaves to mourn his loving wife Diane (nee Cabernel); two daughters, Melanie Marginet (Matthew TenBruggencate) and Laura (Chris) Bowler; one granddaughter Anna Bowler; one brother John (Marlene) Marginet; two sisters Germaine Van Damme and Debbie Marginet; and numerous uncles and aunts, nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents Gus Marginet and Annie (nee Schamp); one brother-in-law David Van Damme; and by his parents-in-law Gaston Cabernel and Therese (nee Hutlet).

Donny was born in Holland, MB and was always close with his brother and sisters.　 He went to Oak Hill and Bruxelles School and then Mariapolis and Notre Dame for high school. He loved being active, especially playing soccer and running distance races.　 When he was 18 he moved to Winnipeg where he worked at Paul's Hauling as a trailer mechanic.　 When he was in his twenties, he took an epic motorcycle trip across the states to California, sharing his photos and adventures with his daughters years later.　 In Winnipeg, he started dating Diane Cabernel; and although she was really shy, she was able to keep up with him.　 They got married and lived in Winnipeg before moving back to Bruxelles to start a family and run their own businesses. Donny was an amazing father. He was adored by his daughters and all of their friends.　 He loved and lived life to the fullest each and every minute and will be tremendously missed by his family and his many, many friends.

Funeral services will be held in the Bruxelles Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, February 14, 2015. Rosary and eulogy at 12:30, Funeral Mass at 1 p.m. followed by interment in the Parish Cemetery with Father John McKenzie officiating.
