Elaine Van Cauwenberghe (née Zeghers)

Elaine Van Cauwenberghe, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, at the Notre-Dame Foyer on June 28, 2025 at the age of 81 years.

She will be forever loved by her children, Diana DeVloo, Dora (Romeo) DeCosse, Cheryl Payette, and Dale Van Cauwenberghe (Connie); her 21 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her siblings, Albert (Joyce) Zeghers, Georgette Gillis, Robert (Arlene) Zeghers, Betty (John) Wahl, Jim (Dana) Zeghers, Yvonne (Bill) Carlson, Donald (Krista) Zeghers, Jo Ann (Craig) Day and Ed (Jackie) Zeghers; her sister-in-law Bonnie Van De Vorde and brother-in-law Ben (Diane) Van Cauwenberghe, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband Eddie Van Cauwenberghe, her daughter Donna Van Cauwenberghe, her parents Arthur and Alma Zeghers, her parents-in-law Rene and Mary VanCauwenberghe, her sister-in-law Frances (Georges) Fifi and brother-in-law Harold Gillis.

Funeral Service will be celebrated in the St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Swan Lake, Manitoba on Thursday July 3, 2025. Video Tribute will begin at 1:45 p.m. followed by Funeral Mass at 2:00p.m.
