Peacefully at the Notre Dame Foyer on Sunday, April 21, 2013, Mrs. Elizabeth De Smet of Swan Lake, Manitoba passed away at the age of 90 years.

She leaves to mourn her passing, three children, Octave (Bonnie) De Smet, Marlene (Allen) Van Cauwenberghe and Noreen (Paul) Grenier;  grandchildren, Dale, Jennifer, Joshua, Lee, Tracey, Lynn, Edward (Darlene), Jocelyn and Christopher (Christine); great-grandchildren, Shaun, Kayla, Ryan, Janine, Alcide, Christian, Zacharie, Chloe and Kyle; and granddaughter-in-law Leona De Smet.  She also leaves to mourn her siblings, Esther Verstraete, Gerry Van Damme and Irene (Albert) Claeys; three sisters-in-law, Clarice Wytinck, Celina Lippens and Madeleine De Smet.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband Leon De Smet in 1999; her parents, Maurice and Ida Van Damme; one daughter-in-law Sandra De Smet; her in-laws Alice Van Damme, Achille (Renilda) De Pauw, Albert (Clara) De Smet, Maurice (Helene) Martens, Marcel Verstraete, Marcel Wytinck, Gerry Lippens and Maurice De Smet.

Funeral Services will be held in the St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church on Thursday, April 25, 2013.  Prayers at 9:30, Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. followed by interment in the Parish Cemetery with Father Armand Le Gal officiating.
