Peacefully, with her family at her side, at the Notre Dame Hospital on Friday, August 10, 2012, Mrs. Elodie Roels of Holland, Manitoba passed away at the age of 91 years.
She leaves to mourn her passing three children: George (Agnes) Roels, Brenda (Daniel) Baete and Colleen (David) Desrochers; eight grandchildren: Rodney, Roxanne (Dean), Russell (Jennifer), Danielle (Michael), Brent (Melanie), Ryan (Monique), Chantelle (Ryan) and Jeremy (Sherise); 11 great-grandchildren: Carly, Landen, Mason, Rylee, Ryden, Rhys, Jaxon, Liam, Jessenia, Nathan and Brody. She also leaves to mourn two sisters, Germaine (Eugene) Gagnon and Madeleine DeSmet; one sister-in-law Alida Verstaeten; one brother-in-law Prudend Roels and numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends
She was predeceased by her husband Bertrand in 1997; one brother Albert Verstraeten; two brothers-in-law, Maurice DeSmet and Urbain (Gertie) Roels and by one sister-in-law Bertha (Gerry) Ketsman.
Funeral Services will be held in the Holland Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 15, 2012. Viewing, rosary and eulogy at 10:30 a.m., Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment in the Holland Parish Cemetery. Father John McKenzie and Father Francis Eworo will be officiating the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
