Peacefully at the Notre Dame Foyer on Saturday, January 19, 2008, Ms. Emma Simon of Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba passed away at the age of 94 years.
She leaves to mourn her passing two sisters-in-law: Yvette Simon of Notre Dame de Lourdes and Estelle Simon of St. Boniface; and numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by two brothers: Léo Simon in 1986 and Isidore Simon in 1996; one sister Augustine Château (Arthur) in 1990; and by one sister Liliane at infancy.
Prayers will be held at Adam’s Funeral Home on Thursday, January 24, 2008 at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church on Friday, January 25, 2008 at 2 p.m., Recitation of the Rosary at 1:30 with Father Léon Mubikayi officiating. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Manitoba CancerCare or to Notre Dame Health Foundation.
