Esther Arzu

(née DeVuyst)

September 27, 1940 – December 4, 2024

Esther Arzu passed away peacefully, surrounded by family after a long courageous battle with cancer, on Wednesday December 4, 2024 at Boundary Trails Health Centre at the age of 84 years.

She leaves to mourn her daughter Eileen Arzu; her sisters Leona DeVuyst and Deborah DeVuyst; her nephews Allen (Nettie) DeVuyst, Norman DeVuyst, Marc (Yvonne) DeVuyst and niece Lorraine (Armand) Talbot, and their families.

She was predeceased by her parents Jose and Marguerite (née Vermiere) DeVuyst and her brothers Edgar (Colombe) DeVuyst and Paul Devuyst.

As per her wishes cremation has taken place, a Private Family Service will be held in the spring.

The family wishes to express their gratitude and thanks to the staff and doctors of the Boundary Trails Health Centre Cancer Unit and to Esther’s friends for their visits.
