Evelyne Julien-Reid (née Robitaille)

Peacefully at the Selkirk Hospital on Monday, April 14, 2025, Mrs. Evelyne Julien-Reid of Notre Dame de Lourdes, MB passed away at the age of 81 years.

She leaves to mourn her husband David Reid and three children Bob (Chris), Vivianne and Jacqueline (Alan Grabinski), seven grandchildren, Robert, Crystal, Alisha, Brayden, Daxton, Mikkel, Zandréa and three great-grandchildren Sierra, Icelyn, Natalya. She also leaves to cherish her memory her brothers Rudolphe and Robert, and sisters Gilberte and Lorraine (René Phillipot), her sister-in-law Bernice (Bob Bissell) and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was predeceased in 2001 by her husband Yves Julien of 40 years, one granddaughter Jessica and one great-grandson Ayden in 2013.

Evelyne was born on May 16, 1943, in Notre Dame de Lourdes, MB. She grew up in Notre Dame de Lourdes where she met and married her husband Yves Julien on May 20, 1961. Evelyne worked alongside her husband at Notre Dame Electric for many years until her children were adults. She then decided to work outside the family business first at the bakery and then at the residence (Aspen Winds), where she truly found her passion helping others.

Mom loved to travel and go camping, her winters in Phoenix with Dave meeting up with all their friends was where she loved to be. Mom enjoyed spending time with her siblings, playing cards and planning get togethers for birthday celebrations. What Mom loved the most was being surrounded by her grandchildren, sharing stories and staying informed with what they were all up to.

A private family service will be held at Adam’s Funeral Home on Thursday, June 19, 2025 followed by interment in the Notre Dame Parish Cemetery.
