Peacefully at the Notre Dame Foyer on Friday, January 10, 2014 our beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather Firmin Berard passed away at the age of 95 years.
Dad will be sadly missed by his five children, Norm (Paulette) Berard, Marcel (Judy) Berard, Bert (Linda) Berard, Liliane Berard and Gerald (Lori) Berard. Grandchildren, Real (Claire), Nadine (Gilbert) Gauthier, Lisa, Michelle (Brian) Sawatzky, Nicole, Derek (Melanie), Darryl (Jaimie), Kerrilyn, Roberta (Peter) Scott, Kristin (Boyd) Canart and Jason and 13 great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn are his brothers and sisters: Angèle Sibilleau, Madeline Brouzes, Antoine (Yolande) Berard, Raymond (Raymonde) Berard and Yvette Yarjau, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his wife Elodie (née Cadoreth), his parents Pierre and Marie Berard, brothers and sisters: Hélène, Jean, Marie and Jeannette and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held in the Notre Dame de Lourdes Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, January 18, 2014. Music and reflection at 1:30, Funeral Mass at 2 p.m. with Father Armand Le Gal officiating. A private family interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Notre Dame Health Foundation for the Hospital, Box 190 Notre Dame de Lourdes, MB, R0G 1M0.
