Frank Bennet
Peacefully at the Portage and District Hospital on Sunday, April 16, 2017, Mr. Frank Bennet of St. Claude, Manitoba passed away at the age of 86 years.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Godelieve (née Van Schepdael), his children, Jennifer, Linda, Joan (Jean) Dion, Debbie, Geoffrey (Cindy) and Alison (Grenville) Waugh, his grandchildren, Matthew, Joshua, Mario, Mia, Marquie, Ryan, Meg, Liam, Declan, Cian and Aoife. He is also survived by his sister Mathilda (Edmund) Wojchiechowski, brothers and sisters in-law Joe (Mary-lou), Steve, Emily Van de Bennet and Rita (Jack) Dodds as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is predeceased by his son James Bennet in 1966, his parents Joseph in 1968 and Mathilda in 1950, his in-laws Emile in 2000 and Josephine Van Schepdael in 1996, his sisters Mary in 1977 and Elaine in 2016, his brother Joe in 1990 and his nephew Greg in 2014.
Funeral services will be held in the St. Claude Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, April 22, 2017. Prayers, eulogy and video tribute at 9:30 am followed by Funeral Mass at 10:00 am with Msgr Roger Bazin officiating. Family Interment will take place after Mass at the St. Claude Parish Cemetery.
Flowers are respectfully declined, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
