Gerard “Fuzzy” Vandendorpe
Peacefully at the Notre Dame Foyer on June 1, 2016, Fuzzy Vandendorpe passed away at the age of 78 years.
Fuzzy is survived by his five sisters and two brothers, Annie Baete, Simone (Ron) Aminot, Rene (Irene), Angele Lesage, Mary Robitaille (Rene Lussier), Germaine (Jim) Gibb and Albert Vandendorpe; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is predeceased by his parents Andrew and Irene; in-laws Mike Baete, Denis Robitaille and Margaret Vandendorpe; and by a nephew Raymond (Sandra) Baete.
Fuzzy was born in Altamont, Manitoba on February 8, 1938. He worked for the Manitoba Highways for 35 years, after which he retired in his hometown. In 2004, Fuzzy moved to the Notre Dame Foyer.
A celebration of life will be held at Adam’s Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 2 p.m. with Fr. Armand Le Gal officiating. Interment will take place in the Altamont Community Cemetery.
