Peacefully at the Portage District General Hospital on Monday, March 21, 2022, Mr. Gilbert Gervais passed away at the age of 85 years

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Pauline (née St. Hilaire); his children, Paulette (Patrick) Houbart, Claude (Marianne) Gervais, Daniel (Patricia) Gervais, Philip Gervais and Victor Gervais (Leslie); his grandchildren, Vivianne, Patrick Jr (Mylene), Antoine, Alicea, Amanda (Jay), Lucien, William (Trish), Jessica (Jonas), Jennifer, Victor Jr. and Andrew (Natalie); his great-grandchildren, Kalobe, Keara, Rheanne, Cheyenne, Hannah,Felda, Lorien, Rohan, and his great-great-grandchildren Piper and Soren. He also leaves to mourn his siblings and in-laws, Denise Gervais, Lionel Bouchard, Ernest (Marriette) Gervais, Yvette (Laurent) Houde, Simone (Raymond) Lambert, Claudette (Philippe) L’Heureux, Doris (Ted) Thorimbert, Peggy St. Hiliare, Madeleine Dupuis, Yvette St. Hilaire, Claudette St. Hilaire, Janine St. Hilaire, Agnes St. Hilaire and Leonne (Wayne) Van Walleghem, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Gilbert is predeceased by his parents Edward and Simonne Gervais, his parents-in-law Adelard and Dorothée St. Hilaire, his siblings and in-laws Fernand Gervais, Lucille (Stan) Zacharie, Jeannette Bouchard, Rene (Patricia) Gervais, Albert (Laurette) St. Hilaire, Simone (Dieudonné) Levesque, Georges (Rita) St. Hilaire, Raymond (Dupuis), Marcel St. Hilaire, Paul (Ester) St. Hilaire, Roger St. Hilaire, Irene (Jim) Anderson, Lucien St. Hilaire

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at the St. Eustache Catholic Church. The memorial service will begin at 1:30 p.m. followed by Mass.
