Gustave “Gus” Beaudin

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gustave Beaudin on April 18, 2025, at Westpark Manor in Winnipeg, MB, at the age of 91. Gus passed away peacefully with his children by his side.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his children, Debbie (Doug) Forgie, Karen Beaudin, Rodney (Cheryl) Beaudin, Shelley (Dean) Combot, and daughter-in-law Norma McKay; his grandchildren: Keith (Melissa), Chelsea, Ross (Sam), Jared (Dy), Lynlea (Tyler), Kristina (Travis), Adam, Reece, and Kaitlyn; his great-grandchildren: Keinan, Beaudy, Cale, Devon, Bailey, Hartley, Atlas, Theo, Zach, and Ajay; his foster-grandchildren, Adonis, Cody, and Matias.

He also leaves to mourn his siblings, Simone Imlah, Claudette (Herb) Boyer, Phil Beaudin, and Ken (Debbie) Beaudin and in-laws, Jeannine McKay, Alvina Kelsey, Clifford Ross, Bernadette Tigg, Rachelle Ross, Wilma (Gerald) Maurice, Clarence (Lucille) Ross, Wayne Ross, Christine Ross; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Gustave was predeceased by his wife, Pauline (née Ross); his son, Darrell Beaudin, his parents, Adelard and Blanche Beaudin; his siblings, Tom (Irene) Beaudin, Venice (Robert) Trottier, Roy Imlah, Ernie (Odette) Beaudin, and Edna Beaudin; and his in-laws, David McKay, Del Kelsey, Jeanne and Larry McKay, George and Linda Ross, Myrna and Herbert McKay, Irene Ross, Norm Carlson, and Bob Tigg.

Gus was a gentle man, with a giving heart.

He was a man of many talents and a jack of all trades.

He generously helped many with building their homes, including those of his children.

He worked for PCL for over 35 years, until a workplace accident in 1996 left him unable to continue. He led a long life, considering his challenges.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Westpark Manor in Winnipeg for their compassion and care during Dad’s final year, as well as our sister, Karen, for taking Dad in and caring for him when Mom could no longer.
