Heather passed away peacefully at the Notre Dame Health Centre on December 28, 2025 at the age of 53 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Anthony (Kelly Ann), Justin (Alexis) and Tyrell; her grandchildren, Laila, Declan and Waylon; and her brothers and sisters, Don Sr. (Lisa), Angela (Brian), Joanne (Norman), Ryan, Sean (Rachal) and Nancy. Also left to mourn is her special aunt and uncle Kookie and EddyBoy, her mother in law Doreen, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

Heather was predeceased by her first love, Darrel “Tuki”, her parents Roy and Joyce, her brother Ron, nephew Donald Jr, Michael and niece Carrie; her grandparents, William and Eliza and Simon and Rosie.

A Traditional Wake Service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026 at 4:00pm at the Swan Lake First Nation Community Hall.

A Traditional Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at the Swan Lake First Nation Community Hall with the feast starting at noon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba or the Notre Dame Health Centre.

The family would like to specially thank Aunty Elaine for her love and support, Abby Martin, Gisele Jefferies and Dr. Borchers for all their care and compassion; the staff at CancerCare Manitoba, Boundary Trails Health Centre and the Notre Dame Health Centre for all the care given to Heather.
